Purpose:
To lift up Jesus in celebration of the 2000th anniversary of his public ministry, death, and resurrection (John 12:32);
- To be a visible demonstration of the unity in Spirit of all followers of Jesus by encouraging and enabling service, in His name, to a world in need (Matthew 25:34-36).
The 2033 Project is a coalition of Christians and ministries aligned to this purpose and energized by the rapid approach of the 2000th Anniversary of the Resurrection. It is a movement among followers of Jesus to increase our effectiveness through greater collaboration and collective impact.
Jesus commands our compassion toward others, directing us to multiple areas of need. The 2033 Project is promoting efforts by Christians, at both local and global levels, to address such needs.
The Project has identified several areas where collective efforts could be synergistic, accelerating the sharing of hope and relief. Thus, the Project promotes the formation of collaborating “Cause Directories” that can bring focus and build unity. These would include:
